Raynes Park Front Garden Design

In Raynes Park lacklustre lawn was dug up and replaced with an elegant, gently sloping and curving sandstone path leading to the front door.

Two multi-stem trees — Magnolia 'Susan' and Amelanchier lamarckii — are underplanted with tulips, Tiarella Spring Symphony and pink Lamprocapnos spectabilis to create a rich tapestry of pink, white and purple in spring. These are followed by Pennisetum alopcuroides Hameln, Penstemon Alice Hindley, Salcia nemorosa Caradonna and Potentilla Abbotswood through the summer, keeping the borders full of interest well beyond the spring flush. The garden is bordered by a classic white picket fence, tying the planting back to the street.

The result is a vibrant, layered front garden that is garnering much attention from neighbours and passers-by.

At last the clients are proud of their front garden and how much it has contributed to the street-scape in their neighbourhood.
